Title X Program – Subsidized Family Planning Services
In partnership with the Missouri Family Health Council, the Dent County Health Center will be offering free or reduced cost Family Planning Services starting April 3rd, 2023. The program is offered by Federal Title X (pronounced like “ten”) funds.
Who can Join?
Women and men of childbearing age can qualify. Our goal is to help each individual person achieve their reproductive health goals. We help build toward healthy pregnancies as well as prevention of pregnancy. We refer to obstetric providers once pregnancy is achieved. We can also help pregnant women apply for Medicaid, if they qualify.
Examples of Family Planning Services offered include:
- Oral contraceptives (birth control pills)
- Implantable contraceptives (Nexplanon)
- Intrauterine devices (IUDs)
- Condoms (Female and male)
- STD/STI Testing and treatment
- Pregnancy planning
- Basic infertility services and referrals
Confidential Services
Confidential billing is also available, meaning that if you ask us to, we will not send any information to your insurance company or send a bill home. Federal Law requires us to keep a minor’s information confidential from their parents if they ask us to.
Income
There are no income limits or age limits to qualify, but income can be used to determine reduced or free services. Anyone at or below the Federal Poverty Level will not be charged for services. There are reduced rates for anyone up to 250% of the Federal Poverty Level.
Dr. April Greener, DNP, FNP-BC
April is a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 12 years experience in Women’s Health, Family Practice, Urgent Care, Sexual Health, Aesthetics, and Spine Care/Pain Management.
Pregnancy Tests
We can confirm your pregnancy with testing at our clinic. If positive, we can set you up with temporary Medicaid and there will be no cost to you for the test. We will help manage and get you the care you need to have a safe and healthy pregnancy.
Temporary Medicaid Enrollment (Presumptive Eligibility)
Most women are eligible for temporary Medicaid coverage while they are pregnant. Don’t delay going to the doctor because you don’t have insurance! We can help determine if you are eligible and get you started on the process, and even print you a temporary card to bring to your doctor visit.
