2023 Annual Report

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Dent County Health Center (DCHC) maximized opportunities to grow both financially and operationally, with its budget tripling to over $2 million and staff doubling to fourteen. Under Administrator Moser's leadership, and relying on a dedicated team, the center expanded services in clinical care, communicable disease surveillance, environmental health, and public health emergency preparedness. Comprehensive programs included family planning, free STI services, Childhood immunizations, and food safety, among others. The DCHC, after a strategic review, refined its mission to focus on improving and protecting the health of Dent County residents. Various community engagements, like support for childcare, maternal/child health initiatives, and a progressive approach to managing public health, underscored DCHC's commitment to advancing a healthier community in 2023.
