Additional Notes for this week:
- Positivity rate – 63% on 24 PCR tests. This indicates that too few tests are being conducted. Cases are not being counted as a result.
- Hospitalization count – 1 case (estimated). CDC estimates 1 hospitalization this month due to COVID-19. This is a welcome improvement from last year.
- Updated (Bivalent) Booster rate – 6.8%. This is quite low even compared to our 42.6% who have had at least one dose. Everyone ages 5 and up can get a bivalent booster dose. We recommend everyone to get one if they have not already.
- Masking – Here at DCHC, we are again using masks to protect ourselves and our patients, not only from COVID-19, but from influenza and RSV. We recommend anyone who is currently coughing or sneezing or showing symptoms of influenza, COVID-19, or RSV, to wear a mask when around others. Everyone should consider using a mask to protect yourself from these diseases during this time of increased transmission of influenza, RSV, and COVID-19.
