Safe Sleep Building Blocks Grant Award

Dent County Health Center Receives Safe Sleep Building Blocks Grant from Cribs for Kids, Baby Safety Foundation, and Safe Kids Worldwide 

Salem, Missouri – 08/20/2025 – Dent County Health Center (DCHC) is honored to be selected as one of 40 recipients of the Safe Sleep Building Blocks Grant Program, an initiative by Cribs for Kids, Baby Safety Foundation (formerly JPMA Cares), and Safe Kids Worldwide. This grant provides essential infant safe sleep products, education, and community outreach support to help reduce sleep-related infant deaths. 

Through this program, DCHC will receive 20 Safe Sleep Survival Kits, each including: 

  • A Cribette play yard 
  • A Cribette sheet 
  • A Snoozzzette wearable blanket 
  • A Sleep Baby Safe & Snug board book 
  • A pacifier 
  • Safe sleep education materials 

Additionally, DCHC will receive community outreach support materials, including brochures, door hangers, fliers, posters, and Safe Sleep Sammi/Sasha Toy Kits, along with digital assets to highlight their participation in this impactful program.

The Safe Sleep Building Blocks Grant Program is designed to support organizations that are committed to promoting safe sleep practices but may face challenges in expanding their reach. By equipping these organizations with necessary resources, the program aims to empower communities and reduce preventable sleep-related infant deaths nationwide.
